Last weekend Darcey and Michael and I went camping at Childs Lake in Duck Mountain Provincial Park. Fun was had by all. We tested out our new backpacking stove (very efficient), went hiking (Darcey fell in the river but unfortunately I have no pictures of that), I didn't get poison ivy (hurray), we went swimming in the crystal clear, icy cold lake (except Michael didn't - he just slept on the beach and "didn't" get a sunburn), we went fishing (Darcey caught a nice pike but then I broke his new fishing rod and we all got sunburns), we climbed the lookout tower at Manitoba's highest point (hardly even a hill, really) and we saw a bear, two deer, a coyote, a fox (and many many mosquitoes).
